Hello world!

May 21, 2012

Welcome to my blog.

‘The Good, the Bad and the Italian’ may sound like a 1966 film, or a song, but really just captures the spirit of future content on the site.

I’ll be writing about things that interest me as well as the occasional rant (why not – keeps things interesting). And of course stuff n’ nonsense with an Italian connection.

If you like what you read – or want to contribute ideas – feel free to comment at the bottom of the post. Don’t be shy, just jump in.

I hope you enjoy it.

  2. Hi Ambra,

I stumbled across your blog whilst googling Trieste….where my parent came from. I look forward to following you…..the title The Good, the Bad and the Italian is perfect !!

ps: I think we may have met a very long time ago, as my parents knew the Sancin famaily.

    • Hi Glenn
Yes, I do remember your family – I even think my mother has some group photos taken in the 70s. Tiny tiny world isn’t it. Thanks for your nice comments about my blog and although it won’t always be about Trieste, the next post in a few days’ time may have some significance for you. Hope you enjoy it.

      • Ciao Mula,

        It is a small world.

I too am pretty sure that I have some old photos, well slides…….dating back to the 60’s and even possibly the 50’s of your parents and you as a child. I have slowly been scanning them to digital images so they would not be lost forever. If you like, I would be happy to email you the jpegs.

Look forward to following your blog

  3. Hi Ambra…loving your bon mots!

    • Thanks Eevi. Love the word ‘bon mots’. I think it’s high time we found a new Macaron, and Bon Mots might just be the thing.
